COMMERCIAL SOUND DESIGN KATLAND Music and sound design for a web-based learning platform for elementary school kids, in the subject of Norwegian. Most of the work was made to accompany flash animations. Collaboration with Ivar Chr. Johansen, aka Ravi (picture). He did most of the reading and text work and I did most of the music and sound design. The setting is a small coastal town, Katland, in which a boy and a girl lives. The students follow these two characters on their explorations of the town throughout the schoolyear, and love is a frequently occuring theme. MEDLEY 1: Reading of existing texts and accompanying music. MEDLEY 2: Original text and music. MEDLEY 3: Series of tunes made for 4-track flash players. Employer: Gyldendal Forlag TRANSFORM Sound design for a three channel video projection at the exhibition Transform 06 at the Norwegian Center for Design and Archtecture. The videos were projected simultaneously at the center walls, the three soundtracks mixing into one ambient soundtrack for the whole exhibition. Each soundtrack was set in a separate key so that when played at the same time they would form a harmonious chord. The videos were explanatory animations adressing the process of transforming a former electricity plant into a multi-purpose buliding, housing an exhibition space, office spaces, a restaurant and several apartments. The video was an explanatory film / mood board aimed at promoting the Santander Bank, the new identity of Elcon and launching the new product GebyrFri. The film was produced for inhouse use only.
